Apple, for the first time in 10 years, has updated their standard 30pin dock connector and turned it into a much smaller 9pin, reversible connector, that will be added to the entire line of iOS devices as new models come out… and people are up in arms. All their docks and cords will no longer work without an adapter. I don’t get it. How many other companies keep technology like that for 10 years? I doubt any. The new connector allows for faster data transfer and saves 80% more space over the previous connector, leaving a lot more room for battery and better speakers.
And for all your Samsung lovers out there (or people who know people who love their samsung phones) – here’s a picture of the last 10 years of Samsung connectors. All 18 different kinds. Goodnight.
